Steamboat cooking

Place your hot pot or steamboat cooker with the stock on the centre of the dining table, then follow these steps when you're ready to cook:

Step 1: Bring the stock to a gentle simmer in your steamboat cooker .
The broth or stock is traditionally clear or seafood based, but can be spiced up with a hot and sour tom yum soup or satay flavouring

Step 2: Get ready the raw meat, seafood , vegetables and other ingredients on separate plates around the steamboat or wok.

Step 3: Put some of the raw ingredients to the stock at a time, then use wire baskets or chopsticks, to transfer the cooked ingredients to serving bowls to eat with rice or  noodles and dipping sauces. Perfect food for winter time!
